Features

Log readings without thinking about it

Enter blood glucose with one tap; the timestamp sets itself. The trend over 7 or 14 days shows immediately what fell outside the target range your vet defined; with Pro also over 30 days or any range you pick.

Glucose curves with reminders

Day profiles over 12 or 24 hours with your own measurement interval. Your iPhone reminds you of every reading that is due, and the low point, peak and trend are worked out for you at the end.

Insulin and vials at a glance

Every dose with units, insulin type and time, linked to the matching reading. Vial management warns you in good time before the open vial runs out.

Reminders you cannot miss

Insulin and feeding times arrive with time-sensitive priority – even in Focus mode. If you do not confirm, a second reminder follows. Swiping the notification away does not count as done.

Vet report as PDF

Pick a period, tick the data you want, done: key figures, time in range, weight trend, curves and the full log on A4. The report language is independent of the app language. Part of Pro.

Share the care

A pet can be shared via iCloud with a partner, family member or pet sitter – with read or write access. Everyone sees the same state, and sharing can be revoked at any time. Part of Pro.

When a diagnosis becomes daily routine

Whether it is feline diabetes or diabetes in a dog: after the diagnosis, the day changes shape. Measure glucose, inject insulin, keep to feeding times – for months, often with two or three people sharing the work. What that produces usually ends up on notepads, in a notes app or in a spreadsheet nobody enjoys maintaining.

Diabetes Tracker collects all of it in one place and turns it into what actually helps at the next appointment: a readable curve instead of a column of numbers, and a report your practice can take in within two minutes rather than twenty.

Free and Pro

The app is free and covers one pet – with everything daily life needs: readings, insulin, meals, weight, curves and reminders. Analysis runs over 7 or 14 days.

Diabetes Tracker Pro adds four things: unlimited pets, sharing with other people, the vet report as PDF and the long view – 30 days or any range you pick, in the analysis as well as in the export. Pro comes as a monthly or yearly subscription; the App Store shows the current price for your country. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand – you manage and cancel it in your App Store account settings.

What the app deliberately does not do

The app does not diagnose, does not calculate doses and gives no treatment recommendations. It works only with the values you enter – average, time in range, variability, lowest and highest readings.

It is not a medical device and does not replace veterinary treatment. The corresponding notice appears at first launch and must be acknowledged; it stays available in the settings at any time, together with reference ranges and their sources. The target range set by your practice can be configured per pet and always takes precedence over the general reference values.

Your data stays with you

There is no provider server. All entries live on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your private iCloud database. The app contains no advertising and no tracking. You send reports yourself via the share sheet or your own mail app – the app never sends anything on its own.

The details are set out in the app privacy policy.

Requirements

  • iPhone or iPad
  • iCloud only required for syncing between devices and for sharing
  • For reminders: permission for notifications (the app remains fully usable without it)

Frequently asked questions

Does the app calculate insulin doses?

No. The app does not calculate doses, does not diagnose and gives no treatment advice. It only analyses the values you enter yourself. Treatment is determined by your veterinarian.

Where is my data stored?

On your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud database. There is no provider server that receives your data, and no analysis by us.

Are both mg/dL and mmol/L supported?

Both. The unit is set per pet and pre-selected to match your region.

Can I manage more than one pet?

Yes, with Pro. Each pet has its own profile with its own target range, unit and default insulin type. The free version covers one pet.

Is the app for cats or for dogs?

For both. The same entries are recorded – blood glucose, insulin doses, meals, weight – and the target range is set per pet. Whether it is feline diabetes or diabetes in a dog, the app tells them apart only by name and by the target range your vet sets.

What does the app cost?

The app is free and covers one pet with everything you need for daily logging, plus analysis over 7 or 14 days. Pro adds unlimited pets, sharing with other people, the vet report as PDF and the long view – 30 days or any range you pick – as a monthly or yearly subscription. The App Store shows the current price for your country. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand; you can manage and cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings.

Which languages does the app support?

English, German and French. The vet report can be generated in a different language than the app interface – useful when your practice speaks another language than you do.
